1973 Rickenbacker 4001 in its original Jetglo finish with checkerboard binding. It has a very nice straight neck with great frets. It's all original and 100% complete with the exception of two decorative silver discs from the tops of the volume knobs. The original hardshell case is also included, but has one unsecured latch. This vintage 4001 looks great with some minor nicks + dings, very light belt buckle surface wear on the back of the body, a small amount of finish checking and other cosmetic wear. The pickguard has a cracked area around the mounting screw for the bass side of the neck position pickup. It has been secured with a cleat from underneath the pickguard. The bass itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. All electronics work and sound great as it provides an authentic early '70's 4001 bass tone.
